Telepresence robot interface design

An article about the development of the robot's interface is published.

The telepresence robot is such a screen on wheels that rides around the office and transmits the image and voice of, for example, the CEO, for a good reason, not being able to attend the meeting.

It's incredible that these devices, worth several tens of thousands of dollars, being a perfect technical solution, have such an awfully made interface.

The interface developed for the Russian company Cubic Robotics differs radically from its competitors. All the screen space (the robot is controlled from the browser) is given to the most important thing — the video that the robot transmits.

Broadcast can be expanded to full screen or displayed in the original size.

All controls are neatly spaced in places, do not interfere with the review, do not clutter the screen, are visible on any background without additional layers.

The interface provides full-screen notification of critical situations.

And also various status indicators.

In addition, a robot management interface has been developed. On its body is an Android-tablet, with which you can control the robot manually.

The small interface is very similar to its older brother.
