Jaipur, Indian-style Cyrillic typeface

Jaipur Cyr is a Russian version of Jaipur typeface. The typeface is a great stylisation of Indian devanagari alphabet.

Jaipur hasn’t some symbols such as №, ( and ), arithmetic signs and so on, but sure it has commas and full stop. Designers must use this typeface only for titles and big signs, not for regular text.

It is very few Indian-like fonts that have cyrillic. Usually all designers have to use this terrible typeface called DS Izmir.

Izmir has nothing to do with India. That’s how real Indian signs look like.

Of course, not so many Indian-like fonts exists even for latin. One of the best is Jaipur typeface by Vic Fieger. Now, this typeface is translated to Russian and free to use.

With Jaipur, all titles in the stories of India are written.

In latin version, the most beautiful letters are e, z, j and numbers 8 and 0.

Cyrillic version has correct Russian М and Т, complex and pretty letter Б, stylish letters Ж and Я.

Designers should use Jaipur like Indians do: with extremely vibrant colours, multiple shadows and contours.
