A presentation for St. Petersburg Defence Dams

We designed an iPad optimised presentation for Saint Petersburg Ministry of Defence Buildings. The presentation tells about a complex of dams, levees and bridges in St. Petersburg, Russia, protecting the city against floods.

The presentation is full of animations and interactions.

Photo albums are designed CoverFlow-like, easy to navigate and attractive.

Interactive map tells a story about all defencing constructions used to protect St. Petersburg. The ship is sailing the map through a real path ships sailing to the city. Blue pins open photo albums dedicated to the selected location. Red flags are shipping passages, blue ones are water sluices.

The goals of the complex are: to protect the city, to allow transport cross the sea, to give passage to the ships and to save the ecology of the region.

The greatest feature in the presentation is a flood simulator. Users can see the districts of St. Petersburg which would have drown in result of the flood happened on 26 December 2011, if the complex hadn’t been built.

Flood simulator also shows it from the street view.

The presentation is designed for iPad and Android tables.
